North American Imported Black Walnut: Rich and varied patterns, few knots, no mildew. Considered a luxury wood.

- Pine Wood: Used for the rear lower crossbar and back panel frame. Good toughness, stable properties, lightweight, straight grain, and minimal knots.
- Paulownia Wood: Used for back panels, core boards, and drawer boxes. Corrosion-resistant, wear-resistant, high-temperature resistant, dimensionally stable, and mold-resistant.

There are six different types of grains in black walnut: wavy, mountain, straight, golden birdpecking, and water drop.
It is challenging to have two different types of grains in one type of wood.
