Oak, Beech Solid Wood Kids Storage Platform Bed, Headboard-Free with Lift-Up or Side Drawer Storage
North American OAK solid wood , Collection PRAGUE
Description
Materials
- All wooden parts are crafted from 100% solid wood (hardware and accessories such as metal and glass are not wood).
- Oak version: imported North American FAS-grade oak with beautiful grain and few knots, naturally resistant to mold and decay.
- Beech version: natural solid beech — dense, strong and smooth, with a fine, even grain that is ideal for children's furniture.
- Supporting wood: imported New Zealand pine — tough, stable, lightweight and straight-grained with few knots — used for the bed slats, slat supports, the T-shaped center rail (on the 59 inch / 150 cm bed) and the horizontal frame rails.
- Supporting wood: paulownia, used for the bottom panels. It resists rot, wear, heat, warping, cracking and mildew, and has long been prized for bellows and traditional Chinese musical instruments.
- Oak lift-up version: gas lift struts 42.5 inch (1.08 m) long with a 132 lb (60 kg) load capacity.
- Choose with or without a bottom panel; mattress not included.
Finish
An eco-friendly, low-odor base coat is applied first for better water resistance, oil resistance and stability, followed by a protective layer of plant-based hardwax oil. The natural finish gives the bed a warm, soft sheen and a pleasant touch — safe for the whole family.
